Cricket's three formats and favourite competitions
For cricket fans in Bangladesh, this sport is more than entertainment — it is tied to deep emotion. Before placing cricket bets at e2 bat, it helps to understand the three main formats. Each format has its own pace and character, which also shapes the betting markets.
T20
This is the fastest format, with each team playing only 20 overs, so matches are done well before the evening ends. BPL, IPL and the T20 World Cup are the biggest tournaments in this format. Because dramatic changes happen in a short time, T20 is the most talked-about format for live betting.
ODI
The 50-over One Day International (ODI) is a test of strategy and endurance. The ICC World Cup and bilateral series are held in this format. The Tigers' ODI performances are always a topic of discussion across the country. Odds shift during the innings break in the middle of a match.
Test
This five-day format is the traditional form of cricket. Because a draw is a valid result, there are three types of markets — Team A wins, Team B wins, or draw. Pitch conditions and weather have a significant effect on market prices.
Every BPL season is one of the most exciting times for cricket fans in Bangladesh. With IPL's international profile and the T20 World Cup, cricket betting at e2 bat runs throughout the year.
Alongside cricket, football betting is also popular at e2 bat. In football, a match lasts just 90 minutes and a draw is possible, so there are three outcome markets — which is slightly different from cricket's two-outcome setup in T20 or ODI. Other sports markets are also available at e2 bat.
Popular cricket betting markets
e2 bat offers a range of betting markets for cricket. It is a good idea for newcomers to start with simpler markets and move to more complex ones as they gain experience.
Match Winner
EasiestPick which team will win the match. Example: if you think Team A will win, place your bet on them. In T20, even a single six can change the result.
Toss Market
Instant resultYou can bet on which team will win the toss before the match starts. The result is known immediately — it does not depend on the rest of the match.
Top Batsman
Test your knowledgeWhich batsman in a given team will score the most runs in the match? This is a bet on individual performance — not directly linked to the team's result.
Total Runs Over/Under
Run counte2 bat sets a runs line. If you think a team's total runs will exceed that number, choose Over; if you think they will fall short, choose Under.
Multi Bet
Combine themSeveral separate bets can be combined together. If all selections are correct the return is much higher — but if even one is wrong, the entire bet is lost.
Top Bowler
Test your knowledgeWhich bowler will take the most wickets in the match? This is also an individual performance market — pitch and weather play a big role here.
A multi bet example: if you back Team A, Team B and Team A to win in three separate matches with decimal odds of 1.40, 1.70 and 1.90, the combined odds are 1.40 × 1.70 × 1.90 = 4.52 (approximately). A ৳100 bet returns ৳452 — but only if all three selections are correct; one wrong and the entire ৳100 is lost.
Odds in three different formats — how to read them
At e2 bat, odds are generally shown in three formats. Once you understand them, working out your potential return becomes straightforward.
Example 1 — Team A wins, stake ৳1,000:
If Team A wins, you receive ৳2,250 (profit ৳1,250 + original stake ৳1,000). If they lose, ৳1,000 is lost.
Example 2 — Team B is the favourite, stake ৳1,000:
If Team B wins, you receive ৳1,800 (profit ৳800). American minus odds mean you need to stake ৳125 to win ৳100.
All three formats represent the same value — only the way they are written differs. e2 bat generally uses decimal format, but you can switch to another if you prefer.
LIVELive in-play — bet while the match is on
You can place bets at e2 bat even after a match has started — this is called live or in-play betting. In cricket this experience is particularly distinct, because every ball and every wicket can shift market prices.
Say Team A is batting and they have lost three wickets in the powerplay. Their chances of winning have dropped, so their odds will lengthen. At the same time, Team B's odds will shorten. At this moment, live market prices change rapidly.
You can use live markets at e2 bat by watching over-by-over data. A six in the death overs is immediately reflected in the 'total runs over' market price. In T20, live markets are most active in the final five overs.
Live betting in Test matches is a bit slower, but over five days the market shifts along with changes in the pitch. In ODI, the live market for the second innings after the target is set at the innings break is very popular.
Remember — live betting moves fast, but betting is always for entertainment. Following responsible gaming guidelines is important.
Some useful tips for cricket betting
Betting is a form of entertainment — it is healthier to treat it as a way to have fun rather than as a way to make money. Keeping the following points in mind will make the experience better.
Start with one market
If you are new, get comfortable with just the 'match winner' market first. Keeping to one market at a time makes the calculations simpler.
Set a budget in advance
Decide how much you will play before you start. If you lose, it is better not to try to recover losses by placing more bets.
Understand the format before betting
T20 and Test markets behave differently. Betting on the format you know well makes it easier to read the situation.
Be careful with multi bets
Multi bets can offer higher returns, but the risk is also higher. It is better not to combine more than two selections when starting out.
Avoid rushing in live betting
Prices change quickly in in-play markets, so make decisions with a clear head. Rushed bets often lead to regret later.
Know the rules
Before placing a bet, it is worth reading e2 bat's terms and conditions once — especially regarding bonus wagering.
Football and other sports markets
Alongside cricket, football is another familiar sports section at e2 bat. Because a draw is possible in a 90-minute football match, there are three markets: Team A wins, Team B wins, or draw. Compared to cricket's two-outcome format in T20 or ODI, the calculation is slightly different.
Football also has markets such as 'total goals' over/under and 'both teams to score'. Live in-play betting is equally active in football — when a goal is scored, odds change in an instant.
Among casino games at e2 bat, crash-style games have become particularly popular for their pace. Go Rush is one such game where the excitement grows as the multiplier climbs — it is a completely different experience from sports betting.
